Aptara Launches PXE4.1 Publishing Platform for Technical Content

Aptara, Inc. introduced PXE4.1 Digital Publishing Platform, designed to streamline production and delivery of digital and mobile content, including technical content.  The new version of  the PXE web-based platform introduces support for  HTML5 and EPUB 3 creation (including embedding of audio and video), as well as extended workflow capabilities.

PXE4.1 includes mobile publishing support for all formats and devices and direct integration with Adobe InDesign 5/5.5, as well as a BookWise editing mode that allows full document or section-by-section editing, to provide flexibility in technical content publishing workflows. The platform incorporates both online image editing and offline editing capability.   PXE’s success is due to its flexible architecture,” says  Dev Ganesan, President and CEO of Aptara. “It’s not one size fits all. The PXE platform tailors to each organization’s current workflow and to their target output formats and devices.”  Read the full release, or visit the Aptara website.
