Dear Santa, What I REALLY Want for the Holidays this Year…

Submit your entry for our “Dear Santa” holiday wish list campaign

All I want for ChristmasAdmit it, no matter whether or which faith you adhere to, there’s something about the end-of-the-year holidays that gets us all into a dreamy list-making mood.  We make lists for family, friends, pets and ourselves (something for Aunt Sally something for me.  Something for cousin George, something for me).

But we’re technical communicators around here, so not only do our wish lists have to be clear and concise, with intuitive navigation and context-sensitive help for the list averse, they also ought to be clever, useful, and downright guffaw-inspiring. Well at least lists that we want to publish on TechWhirl should be that way.  If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s time for our second annual Dear Santa/Holiday Wish List extravaganza, one of those rare opportunities in technical communication where you get to be creative, funky, funny frosty… or donner-esque or blitzen-ish if you’re so inclined.

If you’ve been particularly good, you probably won’t need to worry about coal, or any clean-energy alternatives filling your hosiery this year. But if that’s what you’re wishing for, then by all means let the jolly fat man know about it… you never can tell.

All letters to dear Santa, those crisp, clear, and original missives of  self-aggrandizement, need to arrive at TechWhirl’s North Pole substation, by Wednesday, December 19th, so the elves around here can enter them into the system for publication.  Please remember the old guy’s memory ain’t what it used to be so include a photo to help him  recognize you for the well-behaved technical communicator we know you are.

Should you have any questions, operators are standing by (not really, but leave ’em in the comments and the elven shift supervisor will get back to you). If you’re looking for a little inspiration, check out last year’s Dear Santa submissions. When you’re ready to publish, submit your holiday wish list here.
