Mindjet Tasks Features Mobile Team and Project Management Modules

Following the September launch of its newly integrated work management tools into a single product, Mindjet released Mindjet Tasks, its redesigned mobile app for iPhone that allows team managers to monitor and manage project activities, such as marketing and campaigns or product launches, from a mobile device.

Mindjet Tasks, for which the company has patents pending, features a visual interface and collaborative environment to encourage idea generation and project management. Users can share links, notes, and documents. The new release includes integration with LinkedIn, Microsoft Office and Project, cloud storage via Dropbox and BoxOneCloud, as well as customizable menus and ribbons.

Among the new and enhanced features added to the Mindjet Tasks mobile app:

  • Team and project modules leverage the mobile device as a project management hub:
    • Assign priorities, share plans, and track tasks with team members
    • Real-time updates of documents, plans, and comments
    • Auto calculate project costs
  • Automatic task prioritizing
  • Synching  between mobile app, Web, and desktop
  • Gestural controls for commenting, team management, tracking tasks, and updating

Jascha Kaykas-Wolff, Chief Marketing Officer for Mindjet, said that the redesigned app “does for teams what Clear and Any.Do do for the individual.” Any.Do provides reminders and Clear provides to-do-list for mobile devices.

An enhanced iPhone version of Mindjet Tasks is now available at Apple’s App Store, with versions for Android and the iPad scheduled for release by the end of 2012.  According to the company, more than two million individuals, thousands of businesses, and 83 of the Fortune 100 companies currently use Mindjet services.

The company’s flagship product, now known as Mindjet,  is used to create ideas, manage workflow, and organize and share info. It is a combination of the brainstorming/mapping tool Mind Manager,  the social task manager Mindjet Connect, and Mindjet Mobile.   Mindjet for Business subscription plans start at $360 per year, while individual subscriptions start at $180 per year
