STC-PMC Opens Call for Proposals for Mid-Atlantic Technical Communication Conference

Philadelphia Metro Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC-PMC) now accepting proposals for Mid-Atlantic Technical Communication Conference

The Philadelphia Metro Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC-PMC) announced last week that they are now accepting presentation proposals for their upcoming conference taking place in March, 2013.

The theme for this year’s Mid-Atlantic Technical Communication Conference is “Sharpening Your Personal Brand,” and presenters are encouraged to submit proposals that support this topic. Deadline for submissions is January 5, 2013 with selected speakers receiving notice by February 1.  Organizers request that speakers submit electronic proposals, which are more environmentally friendly, since presentation materials will be posted on the chapter website for attendees.  More information can be found on STC-PMC’s website including the proposal submission form.

Held in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, this full-day conference takes place on March 8, with subsequent special workshops on March 9. The conference consists of multiple sessions focusing on using and developing clear communication, expanding your technical communication knowledge, improving your online presence, and enhancing your career.

In addition to hosting the Mid-Atlantic Technical Communication Conference, STC-PMC offers a wide range of activities for technical communication professionals in and around the Philadelphia area, including networking events, special interest groups, and skill-building programs.
