Perhaps it’s the impending summer solstice, or the recognition that, at least in North America, things are about to slow down for a long lazy summer the rush is on. Either way, we have noticed a pretty massive uptick in news, especially product announcements, that should be of interest to technical communicators. In addition to the Next Big Thing (s) from Microsoft (a.k.a the Surface tablet, Yammer for SharePoint) that impact folks inside the technical communication field and out, some well-known tech comm vendors have announced agreements and partnerships, and launched new and upgraded products.
