Vasont® Adds Enhancements and Upgrades to ST 2.3 Content Management System (CMS)

Vasont Systems released an interim version of Vasont® ST 2.3, the component content management system (CMS) that enables users to store multilingual content once and deliver it to multiple media channels. The interim release provides new productivity tools and enhances the Vasont Extensions that support third-party editing and publishing tools used by technical communications departments to deliver content.

Vasont ST 2.3 delivers new search capability within the styled Preview of the content, including more flexible  attributes that are editable for precise searching and content processing. Branching modular content can be completed in a single step. Loading and extracting XML and non-XML multilingual content to and from the CMS is faster, for more efficient publishing cycles.

Vasont also upgraded several Vasont Extensions that support third-party editing and publishing tools. The Vasont CMS’s PowerPoint integration now supports PowerPoint 2010,  so technical communications teams and other departments can publish from the CMS to  the most current version of PowerPoint for reuse in marketing, training, and other presentations. The Vasont Universal Integrator (VUI), Vasont’s Extension for leading XML editing tools, has includes several updates to the user interface and workflow.

According to the company, “the Vasont CMS makes it easy for organizations to manage their multilingual technical documentation and business information. The system’s comprehensive single-source functionality stores content once, ensuring accuracy and increasing the efficiency of repurposing content to multiple media formats while managing the workflow and the overall business process of creating and publishing content.”  Vasont ST 2.3 is available for both the perpetual license and SaaS (software as a service) content management system models.
