XML PRESS ROLLS OUT NEW BRANDING (updated)

XML Press Logo[Update: April 1, 2013 in an attempt to appease XML Press and their lawyers, we have altered their fluffy press release with a new and more modern font: You can see the updated XML Release here . All inquiries can be forwarded to our law firm of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe. ]

LAGUNA HILLS, California – In its continual effort to be out in front of every new trend, XML Press announced today that it is adopting a new corporate identity, including a new logo and the first in a series of new covers for its books. According to XML Press founder and CEO Richard Hamilton, “We could see which way the wind was blowing, so of course we followed.” But the question was, which of the many hard-to-read fonts would be best to adopt. Our crack team of engineers proposed a wide-range of possibilities, ranging from Arial to Zapfino. However, careful research narrowed the possibilities to two, Comic Sans and Papyrus.

You can try to appease, Mr Al “Chamberlain” Martine, but you can’t hide.

We’ve put Kalinda on the case and it’s only a matter of time before she digs up enough dirt to bury you up to your eyeballs.

I’ll take Lockhard-Gardner over Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe any day.

Just received call from Will McAvoy and MacKenzie McHale for tonight’s ACN broadcast on the strong-arm tactics of the publishing industry. We’ll be in the A-spot as old publishing pushes around new publishing … heard scripts are written in Wingdings.

We’ll see your ACN and raise you a Hannity.

We’re sharing the round-table with Ann Coulter and a representative of PETA, who for once agree on something. Coulter will reveal the shocking true story of how the TechWhirl logo was designed by left-wing environmentalists (look at all that green), while the PETA rep will expose the source of the ink used to print the logo. We all thought that frogs were going extinct because of global warming, but now the truth will be revealed.

And don’t even think about trying to book Rachel Maddow’s show. Her teleprompter has already been switched to Comic Sans and Papyrus. The President’s teleprompter is next.

it’s a Comic Sans World …

After all….

Sadly, you’re correct. But, Comic Sans is a classic first-world problem, so I think we’ll all survive (at least we will. We’ll see what happens once Kalinda gets back with that report:-).

Thanks for another fluffy April Fool’s Day.

It was fun. Second time someone’s attempted to sue us and we’re barely into Q2 ;)

Richard Hamilton

Hmm, second means there probably won’t be anything left once the judge awards us mega-bucks.

Never mind:-).

Technically, we were only threatened. :)
