Bridgeline Digital, Inc., announced the release of iAPPS 5.0, its engagement platform with enhancements that include mobile friendly editing and authoring and cross-channel administrative interface. The iAPPS platform, first introduced in 2008, gives customers the opportunity to leverage digital assets and capitalize on customer demand for mobile engagement.
The iAPPS 5.0 release focuses on meeting growing demand for content consumption and navigation on smart mobile devices. Research firm Gartner predicts 1.2 billion smart devices will be sold in 2013, up 50% from 2012.
The new version includes enhancements to support both front- and back-end users. Administrators can edit their content with a smart phone or tablet in a touch-oriented iAPPS Content Manager. Additionally, administrators can target content to potential visitors based on device type, navigation behavior, and demographics, and create content more quickly with improved templates. iAPPS 5.0 also features “multi-site workflow” with enhanced translation capabilities to allow a single website to appear in multiple languages..
iAPPS also has a cross-channel interface with customizable “mega-menus” that improve navigation between iAPPS products. All screens and dashboards in iAPPS have been redesigned with new page widths, updated library controls, and advancements in usability.
Other features of the new release include expanded technology partnership integrations. iAPPS 5.0 offers built-in hosting services provided by Brightcove, the cloud-based HTML5 video player technology provider, enabling customers to embed video onto their website or web store using iAPPS Content Manager. Also, Clay Tablet, a provider of integration software that connects content management systems to translation providers, is integrated into iAPPS 5.0. The release includes an enhanced asset security model and built-in ISYS Enterprise Search.
