Vasont ST 2.8 CCMS Enhances Editorial and Publishing Processes

Vasont SystemsVasont Systems, well-known component content management system (CCMS) software provider, released the latest version of its flagship product, Vasont ST 2.8, with  new features and enhancements to editorial and publishing workflows as well as administration of the CMS.

To support editorial processes, Vasont ST 2.8 included usability enhancements for its Vasont Universal Integrator (VUI) software extensions for XML editors. With these enhancements to the VUI extensions, users can locate and reuse content from the Vasont CMS via the XML editing tool interface.VUI users also can more easily search for content using the new VUI’s styled Preview of the content. In addition, the VUI navigation window includes a Quick Text Search engine.

Vasont ST 2.8 delivers an automated publishing capability which enables users to publish content in multiple formats simultaneously from the Vasont CMS, and automatically store the published files in a specified location. According to the company, the streamlined approach to publishing avoids manual intervention, and decreases overall publishing cycle times.

Vasont made several usability and navigation enhancements to the  Vasont ST 2.8 editorial environment. Vasont Administrators now have more capabilities to configure the system in a batch mode to improve CMS implementation time. In addition, Vasont ST 2.8 offers new Web Query Access Seats, which allows non-Vasont users to access and share the published documents which have been stored in the Vasont CMS for reference purposes. Vasont Systems offers Vasont ST 2.8 under both the perpetual license and SaaS models of the Vasont CMS.
