Ex-employee Discloses Tool Used in FrameMaker Documentation

TechWhirl has uncovered evidence that Adobe’s documentation team is allegedly in the throes of an uprising-of-sorts due to the sensational claims made recently by an ex-employee. The very disgruntled ex-employee, who said everyone in the team called him Sloppy Joe, told TechWhirl that “all product documentation for Adobe FrameMaker is done using Word!” Sloppy Joe disclosed that Adobe had provided him and his fellow technical writers considerable freedom to choose the right tools for their job

Adobe Announces the Launch of HelpRobo with RoboHelp 9

Adobe Systems Inc. today announced a limited offer on all new purchases of the industry-leading help authoring tool, RoboHelp, which entitles buyers to a complementary ‘robot’. The robot, codenamed, HelpRobo, or HR for short, will be programmed to help RoboHelp users with many common administrative and support tasks.

Maxwell Hoffman Joins Adobe Technical Communications Group

Maxwell Hoffman has joined the Adobe Technical Communications Group as  Product Evangelist for Adobe Tech Comm Business, reporting to Tom Aldous, Director.  In this role, Hoffman will work with Adobe’s engineering, sales and marketing groups to represent customers and partners and expand Adobe’s presence in the technical communications market.

Hoffman comes to the Adobe team from Globalization Partners International, where he managed large content translation projects for clients using FrameMaker and other tools, and directed the translation vendor’s social media program. His background also includes serving as Adobe FrameMaker Product Marketing Manager and Director of Worldwide Sales Training for Frame Technology.
