Aptara, Inc. introduced PXE4.1 Digital Publishing Platform, designed to streamline production and delivery of digital and mobile content, including technical content. The new version of the PXE web-based platform introduces support for HTML5 and EPUB 3 creation (including embedding of audio and video), as well as extended workflow capabilities.
PXE4.1 includes mobile publishing support for all formats and devices and direct integration with Adobe InDesign 5/5.5, as well as a BookWise editing mode that allows full document or section-by-section editing, to provide flexibility in technical content publishing workflows. The platform incorporates both online image editing and offline editing capability.
