Speaking to a capacity crowd at a webinar today, Author-it Software Corporation founder and CEO Paul Trotter announced the launch of its cloud-based enterprise content authoring solution. Author-it Cloud Enterprise Authoring Platform will be available in two editions, Professional, geared towards small authoring teams with minimal localization needs, and Enterprise, aimed at larger orgnaizations with dynamic publishing and localization needs.
Trotter observed that ”The economic advantages are so compelling that we believe it’s just a matter of time before most companies will transition to a Cloud approach. Client’s upfront costs are significantly reduced because there is no software to install or hardware to buy.” He provided a brief demonstration of the main features of the platform and described plans for third-party plug-in support for new formats, and extension of the platform to address business-specific needs.
