EC Software GmbH has announced the availability of Help+Manual 6. A major release, Help+Manual 6 provides range of new functionality, including HTML5 strict template creation, Help 2.0 with fully integrated JQuery and animation support. Delivery formats include publishing to iPad, and a variety of eBook formats including Nook and Sony eReader. According to EC Software’s Alexander Halser, “The Backstage view as seen in Microsoft Office 2010 replaces several dialogs. And we used the additional screen real estate to improve import, publishing and configuration dialogs. Big dropdown menus make it easier to visually select a skin for publishing. Help+Manual 6 is a lot more ‘visual’ throughout.”
